Poor instancing mechanics

Just now, a bunch of explorer CMDRS are struggling to arrive in the same instance. Relog upon relog. Countless wing beacons set. Jumps out of the system and back again. Switches between private group and open to no avail.
And we're a grand total of... 4. Surely the servers could handle our sessions without breaking?

Please, FDev, we're out in the black, please let us at least land next to each other.:|

It might have more to do with how you all have your router set up. There is a thread somewhere that shows how to do it. Hopefully someone can point you to it.

Private group too? Hmmmm...

The issue could be related to one or two of your pilots having a dodgy P2P connection with the rest of the group, and this is causing the issues.

This is a lot of the reason why I will often choose a private group with friends over playing in Open because even when I am not trying to hook up with friends, it takes minutes to drop out of SC just to do a mission or something.

These days, when I am playing by myself I stick to SOLO, and when I am playing with friends in our PowerPlay group, I use our group's PG.

But...The game's multi-player mechanics leaves a lot to be desired, that is for damn sure! Heck! Just look at most of Frontier's own live streams! Even they can't get the damn thing to work right!

Are you saying Aisling has a PG for their power players?

I spent yesterday at the CG which was very busy and while I was always able to wing up with my squad I had to endure countless transition stalls, relogs, borked beacon drops and general ball ache. I did get to brawl hardcore and had a great day overall but there were times I was gritting my teeth.

It is unfortunately the nature of the beast and while Open is absolutely my preferred mode of play I often switch to Solo just to have a smoother game experience without all the immersion breaking frustrating network drama.
