Poor my Chinese Pangolins...

I have bred nice pangolins with nice stats.. Then they all died. Reason? The keeper could not go speedy enough... Go, check the habitat, then whoops it is at 0%, go slowly, prepare some food slowly, then.. bye bye the animals. Even if I had LOTS of keepers.

Yikes!

Was the keeper not fast enough or:
  • or was the keeper hut to far away?
  • or was there no keeper hut available?

Same happened to mine with 4 exclusive huts right outside the entrance to the exhibit tended by 4 keepers exclusive to the Pangolins (shows you how desperate I was to save them). I finally sold the rest and closed that attraction. Fml.

When they get really slow they are exhaustet usually.
Did the working zone they are in have a rest room?

I put 3-4 exhibits into one habitat-zone and give each of those 1 small hut and 1 small resting room.
Your keepers don't have to go home or stuff like that, they only need a hut and a resting room most of the time.

If you still got the keepers have a look on their statistics, if they spent more than 50% of their time walking, they walk too much.

Oh no!!! I'm so sad about the pangolins the market is dismal because this is happening.

It's the TERMITE MOUND!!! Get rid of it! The babies can't eat out of it at all, from what I can tell, and the adults sometimes don't either. As long as it's in there, your keeper won't put food in their bowl.

edit it may also be other food enrichment but I'm too scared to try. My pangolins just don't have food enrichment and they're happy and alive now :)

More keeper huts is a good idea. But, its also good to place another rest area or two in. If you have a lot of keepers, they are struggling to share the huts and rest area.

This is a good example of how the feeding is unbalanced, they do not fill all the stations, instead they fill one a lot, and the others empty.

I honestly believe they should just make it to where if the feeding stations are empty, no matter what, they should refill them all. The coding with the keepers is one of the most disappointing things in the game..

And in return food expenses will rise, and in the end, the keeper will be constantly removing rotten food and refilling it with fresh food.

TBH, I don't have pangolins, but I haven't seen this happen in my Challenge park so far.

Sadly they're already doing this. My keeper was feeding my gorillas twice the amount of food needed leaving an entire tray to rot completely untouched. I had to throw all my adults into the trade center to get him to stop.

I feel like there's a massive problem with adult/baby feeding in enclosures - I suspect the keepers are feeding the babies the same amout as adults, but the babies eat less so it leaves huge amount of food to rot (and puts food costs through the roof).

Well isn't that the players fault then for plopping down too many feeding trays? Can't the player figure out that all their money is being wasted on food? But if I want a tray filled I should be able to get it filled!

You can't control it. The keepers will put down a set amount of food for a set amount of animals. If you don't have enough feeders they just throw the extra food on the floor.

I know. I was saying this is why we should have a function for keepers to fill whatever we plop down.
