Positioning of Created Blueprints

Hello,

Every time I create a new blueprint of something that's been placed at surface level (i.e. scenery items), it always adjusts it below or above the surface when used. I've tried moving it back to the surface, but it's either above or below the surface and never on it. I’ve tried messing with the available options when the item is selected, but it only affects the movement of the item horizontally and not vertically. I’ve looked into settings and messed with all those options, but nothing worked. It also happens when I use the multiselect tool. When selecting multiple items (i.e. hedges, props etc.) and move it up or down, it never goes back to surface level unless I select one item at a time.

How can I create a new blueprint to use later without it sinking into or flying above the surface?

If you want your creation to move as 1 piece add a flat roof piece under the ground. Then start the build. When you select an object to move you can up and down (using shift) The item must be clicked on when u press X. Those give you 3 lines. Hit X again and you can swivel the item. You can flip back n forth the the X. I'm not sure if this is what you were referring to.

If something is considered a "building": Advantage,it can moveit , delete it as 1 piece. Because of that you have to lower a blueprint to hide the building piece. That's why I always use flat roof.

Shift has never failed in goes up and down to where it needs to be. You just have to go slow if you need that speceific of a spot. to put it back on

The last sentence: click on the item and click on TRIGGER. You can later set it up or if you don't want it to move it doesn't.

I think I figured it out. Your idea using a flat roof peice gave me an idea. I placed a flat roof peice (though I'm sure it works with any wall peice too) on the ground. Then, I put a hedge on it just to test it out (both with the roof peice on the ground and underground). Once I created the blueprint, I placed it and found I needed to be in "edit building" and selected both the hedge and roof peice which then allowed me to adjusted it to the exact level as the original peice. Otherwise, when I place my item and choose to move it outside of "edit building", the hight will change and I it won't allow me to get it back to the original hight unless I go back into "edit building" and adjust it. I haven't tried it with multiple peices like a building or anything, but I'm sure the mechanics are just the same. Thanks.

Do you have "Global Vertical Snapping" in the game settings menu checked, or unchecked?

Yes, I have "Global Vertical Snapping" checked and that's is what I want. My issue was getting a blueprint to the exact hight as my original object(s) without taking the time to eyeball it. I think I've figured it out though as I explained in my previous post.
