Possible bug

Forgot to say - happened three times in a row. I had turned the console off each time and on the third occasion turned off at the plug - 4th time lucky ….. at that point decided to do what I needed to do (land on a carrier) before turning off and watching some terrible tv 😁

I swear down I was literally in a meeting about this yesterday, so where I'm really sad you're still getting it (well aware it's almost a feature by now), it's perfectly timed with continued investigation on our side.
 
Oooo glad I remembered to say this (tbh wasn’t the first time it had happened…..had happened a few times on Wednesday evening but I just put it down to heavy usage in the Rackham’s Peak area …

(note: these times are only when I personally became aware of the issues yesterday - 27th Jan)
I noticed the problem begin on xbox about 16:30 UTC , when missions on the mission board were unavailable, stating I needed a planetary landing module (which I have the planetary approach suite fitted). Tried uninstalling and rebuying the module but made no difference.
By about 17:30, noticed the shipyard was acting up, hanging for about 10 secs then just looping me back to the starport service menu. If I kept trying, I could eventually get to the ship yard, but the number of attempts were random - sometimes on the second attempt, other times it was many more.
By 19:00 UTC, outfitting would just cause the game to crash out (not even an error code, just drop straight to xbox home screen after a slight pause) . Also SLF could not be launched, with an error on the Helms panel saying module malfunction.
 
Yeah I followed up on the further Horizons issues (shipyard) higher up this thread but have also updated on social and with the team all Horizons benefits for Xbox players have gone silly.

greetings, i'm still having problems with the same issues mentioned earlier regarding horizons. I'm on xbox S. Any chance of a approximate time frame on when the issues would be resolved? 07
 
@sallymorganmoore are we going to get an update at all on deployed NPC ship launched fighters causing lag for other players in an instance. For example, if I launch an NPC into my fighter I will not lag/rubber band, however every other player in that instance will. It means my friends and I can't use fighters in conflict zones together. This has been a problem (at least on Xbox idk about everywhere else) for 3 years now and it's never been addressed. Would love for someone to actually look into this for once. If clips are needed I can get some today.

@sallymorganmoore are we going to get an update at all on deployed NPC ship launched fighters causing lag for other players in an instance. For example, if I launch an NPC into my fighter I will not lag/rubber band, however every other player in that instance will. It means my friends and I can't use fighters in conflict zones together. This has been a problem (at least on Xbox idk about everywhere else) for 3 years now and it's never been addressed. Would love for someone to actually look into this for once. If clips are needed I can get some today.
Further added as a refresher to my general notes.
For now I'm so, so sorry I'm buried deep in helping coordinate the general Horizons issue with unavailable content and furthermore some really pressing gameplay issues following update 10 - Then I'll hope back on to figuring out where updates on additional issues will fall in line for you all. Thanks for your patience with me o7

on top of all this; I’d also suffered with the “hanging” when jumping into SC. The countdown from 4 to 0 would happen and then it would just freeze playing the initial tunnel phase and do nothing else.

I've had the same problem since the 25th. I've almost exclusively had to high wake to the nearest system, then jump back to get into SC, otherwise I'm in the tunnel until I exit the game.
 
I'm afraid that with future console support dropped, and most focus being on PC only, these instances will be more frequent in the future. It never happened before that basic functions didn't work in the base game (Horizons access has been a problem before). To me it feels like that Elite on consoles is on more and more shaky foundations as time goes on.

The consoles haven’t dropped at the moment, they are more on us as it was expected. Till the mysterious oddyssee compatibility is disappeared on the main menue there is a tiny hope of an release on consoles. They are focused at the moment on pc, because it’s the only Plattform which is affected by oddyssee related bugs. I think they would be in the same way focused on consoles when we was the first plattform. It’s naturally that they spend more time to fix the bugs from the the bugfixing update which should fix the bugs from the past bugfixing updates 😅
 
I am having this same issue, purchased version on Xbox One.
  • Purchased liveries missing for ship, fighter and SRV
  • No Horizons missions on the missions boards
  • "Yellow Adder" trying to do most outfitting
  • I can't launch my fighter! ("Launch bay malfunction[1]")
I have not tried to launch SRV.
 
Everything is now working properly for me, including horizon missions SRV and Fighter launch.
