Last night I teamed up with a commander to show them around a Titan and a Spire site, with them physically boarding my ship.
I switched from solo to my PG, they switched from open.
We could instance no problem, but every jump to another system resulted in them stuck in a Braben tunnel. Now, I've been teaming up for this sort of gameplay since Odyssey launched, and until Update (15?) it usually ended in the same result. After update 15 it's been a lot more reliable. So I was surprised it kept failing last night.
However, after we both exited to the desktop and started the game in my PG, we then flew around together for 4 hours across dozens of systems without a single hiccup.
Just wondering if changing game mode before teaming up left the game in some kind of state which made the jumps much more prone to disconnects. I will definitely science this a bit, as I have several PCs here capable of running Odyssey, and 5 accounts to experiment on. I mean ... with.
But if it does turn out to be the case, then it might just be a case of quitting all the way to the desktop and ensuring everyone who is going to share a ship starts the game in the required mode (Open/chosen PG) before teaming up.
