Ships Possible Diamondback render based off concept drawing

I wasnt going to bother posting this, but I figured I really should since I went to the effort of making it.
I used the concept drawing as a guide to make a 3D render of what the Diamondback might look like. Cant wait to see how close I am:D

Once the page loads, click the "View 3D" button then use the mouse to move the model around.

The weapons were just put on the model to investigate possible mounting locations, they are not made to any scale, just stuck on however they fit. Locations are just guesses based on available space and what I think might look cool, I might change them to try out different looks.

Bonus model of how I think the Imperial Courier should look. Very basic design I put together really quickly a week or 2 ago.

EDIT. Ive changed the DB model a bit, fixed the terrible looking front I had on it. Trying the weapons out in a similar looking config to the Asp.

But I should say they should probably make it a bit wider and the top part starting at the top end of the cockpit and going back slimmer. That thing looks like a fat kid that would be picked on at school if that ends up as an accurate representation of what it will look like i will kinda be mad. The diamondback is being theorized to be an upgrade to the ASP and should look like it.

(Not criticizing the CAD drawing, just the direction of the Diamondbacks look if thats spot on what it will look like)

That's pretty nifty, shame that the image we have seen was an early concept and could have changed in any number of ways since them.

If you are talking about the bit I think you are, then its entirely due to a shortcut I took when making the angle on the top front part. I dont think their model will look that bad at all. You might have given me enough incentive to go back and fix it, im looking at it now and realizing just how little effort I put into the whole cockpit section. If theres a fast way to make that fat bit look more like the concept drawing, ill do it and decide if its worth more effort after.

Holy Cow! That is a compliment and a half, thanks.
I doubt they will change the design much from what they already have, they have so much time invested in it. We can dream though :) I Tried to use as many of the elements of the original courier as I could. I never played the old games so I had to use images and then concentrated on specific things people were saying on the forum that it needed. I tried to keep a few features from the courier concept drawing that I thought were good too.
I actually planned to spend way more time on the design than I did. After I laid down the basic outline, I decided I liked the nice clean look it had and couldnt see anywhere I could improve it without messing it up.
