I feel rather ill as of last night. I didn't eat much yesterday, but I did have a Chicken Tikka Massala at the Asda cafe yesterday afternoon. I've eaten there a lot and it's what I usually order. All times previously I've felt fine the next day.

However, last night I could not get to sleep, and pardon my crude words here, but I say it out of necessity. This morning's trip to the loo was... Messy.

I've also felt really light-headed since last night. Now, obviously, I'm absolutely making a doctor's appointment ASAP, but while I wait, I thought I'd seek the opinion of people here.

DISCLAIMER: I will not act on any advice here bar to visit a doctor. This topic is for friendly discussion only.

It's certainly a possibility, but (in my non-expert opinion) it's probably mild.

Get well soon, though.

Edit: Oh - stay hydrated. Water, not tea or coffee.

I hope everything comes out fine for you in the end...

Dear God that was good.

@unicorn sounds like a bit of food poisoning, see how you are and drink plenty of fluids.

Thanks guys. I just feel so awful, and I can't think of any other cause. Like I say, that curry yesterday was the only thing I ate yesterday.

You're right. I'll go get a couple mugs of water.

Been there, done that....everyone is correct...Keep drinking water!!! If your making as many trips and I was, fluids will be flying out of your body. I realized I was getting dehydrated when I tried to eat a cracker and couldn't produce enough saliva to break it down in my mouth. It was just a dry cotton ball. Wife had to grab me some bottles of water and I downed them as quick as I could. It could also be a stomach virus...something you touched and it made its way in.

I hear they've got some of those at Hutton. You may not be able to hold it that long, though..... :D

Hope you feel better, man.

Food poisoning is like the flight safety announcement: "you have to remember that the nearest exit may very well be behind you."

Haha, thanks. Yeah I won't be flying today. Not even watch TV really. Well, actually come to think of it my monitor has speakers and it's right next to my bed. I think a bit of Netflix, few bottles of water, and some rest are on the cards.

IMHO it sounds like a very, very, VERY mild case at best, if it is food poisoning at all. Typicall food poisoning usually has you vomiting uncontrollable rather soon after eating. You dont sleep through it. Being unable to properly digest food can be due to a ton of different things, no need to worry but you can always see the doctor. My prediction is he'll ask you to let him/her know if it happens again. :p

Maybe it's just digestive trouble from stress or generally bad eating habits.
I would only worry if it doesn't get better after three or four days.

Like others said, you can do nothing wrong by eating less and drinking a lot of water. :)

That's reassuring. My mum insisted I take some paracetamol, and I do feel more... Stable, at least. I'm going to the doctor tomorrow though, just to be sure.

For now, I'm going to watch BBC's Merlin.
