Newcomer / Intro Possible to discover something twice?

If I discover something but get zapped before I cash it in can I go back and 'rediscover' it and then try to cash it in again?

Also if you discover and do a "normal scan" you can go back and do a detailed scan and get credit for the extra I believe.

You will have to re-log before you can rediscover it, iirc.

Thanks all. Shortly after opening this thread my free sidewinder was indeed zapped- so I can now confirm that you can return and scan again, at least after a relog. However at present rate of progress it may be quite a while before I can check about returning for a detailed scan though...
