Possible to fit 4D thrusters on Anaconda? (Increase thrusters max mass)

As title i want to fit 4D thrusters on my conda. Is it possible to increase max mass on thrusters? I only manage to get my conda down to 495ish tones but i dont think i can do it all the way to 473.

Dunno about the Anaconda but I know I couldn't fit standard (under-sized) thrusters to my Explorer Asp so I stuck 'em on a different ship, went and got them modded, came back and swapped 'em onto my Asp.

Presumably it'd be the same thing with the Anaconda - it'd just be a case of rolling a mod' which brought them into the "window" where they're suitable for the Anaconda.
No idea whether that's possible with 4D hrusters, mind you.

None of the engineer blueprints roll for more max mass but if i am not wrong there is secondary effect that increase the optimal/max mass for thrusters. But getting one is really unlikely and getting big enough boost from that one secondary effect may take 100s of rolls. You could get it with the first roll, after 50 rolls or never.

It's possible.

I already had roll where i had optimal mass reduction as i remember as secondary effects.
You won't be able to boost though as you would need a 5A Power Distributor that would increase too much overall ship mass.

If you can't roll one, it won't work.

Yes it is possible. I spammed gr 1 clean drives and i got the needed secondary. Max mass now is 499.9 tones. I managed to fit the thrusters by stripping down the ship, but it is pretty much unusable now as i cannot fit the essential stuff like a more than 2 tones fuel tank :D

Yep definitely possible via the secondary effect although the base ship has to be light enough to start with. This is the 4D thruster variation of my Exploraconda https://beta.coriolis.edcd.io/outfi...YHMA28QgIwV0A=&bn=Conda, Modded extreme range. It's not my preferred outfitting option (*), but it is practical for long trips.

* - generally, if I'm travelling a decent distance I would want to better make use of neutron boosts which needs more fuel capacity and hence pushes the weight above that which the 4Ds can cope with.

Woooowww. This is 99% of what i had in mind. Proof that i was in the right path. For the moment i m dropping the idea of the 4D thrusters, because of the many restrictions.

I however did some modifications after i came back to bubble and here is where i m sitting now: 65.06 LY

(I typed in the essential engineering but jump range is a bit off)

As someone can plainly see, i need a better FSD asap :D
