Possibly a stupid franchise question???? and other general observations

Hello all
This might be a really obvious to some but is there a way to create a second franchise for another user of the PC?

I had setup a small zoo in franchise mode and my daughter was really taken by the look of the game and asked if she could play. I had actually purchased the game for her so reluctantly let her take control; within five minutes she'd spent every conservation credit i'd been working so hard to accrue.

Is there a way i can have my franchise and she can have hers? Seems like something that should be there but i can't see it at all. There are three people in my household that use this PC and a shared Steam account. I'd like to avoid as many arguments over conservation credits as possible.

Thanks

Other observations
  1. Anyone else noticing bins are used but even when completely full there is no litter in the parks?
  2. Birth rates still seem crazy high with some animals. I spend a good ten minutes of every hour just releasing fowl, ostrich and boar
  3. I appreciate the need to balance the finances in the game but when was the last time you went to the zoo and saw 900 people stood right next to each other? I have 10 exhibits and it's absolute carnage outside the viewing areas
  4. Is a family tree for the animals available?
Loving the game and i appreciate fully that some of this may be down to the beta version. Just wondering is all.

I don't believe, and I could be wrong, that you can have 2 separate franchises. However, you can create 2 or more zoo's. Albeit for the cost of 100 conservation credits. So in essence, you can have two franchises running although they would share the conservation credits.

Other observations
  • Anyone else noticing bins are used but even when completely full there is no litter in the parks?
  • Answer: Yes. Although I have also had notices of too much litter even when the bins were all empty.
  • Birth rates still seem crazy high with some animals. I spend a good ten minutes of every hour just releasing fowl, ostrich and boar
  • Answer: To avoid this you can give each animal birth control to prevent them from reproducing. You do want to keep an eye on the animals ages so as they don't die before you have offspring to replace them with.
  • I appreciate the need to balance the finances in the game but when was the last time you went to the zoo and saw 900 people stood right next to each other? I have 10 exhibits and it's absolute carnage outside the viewing areas
  • Answer: I have had bottlenecks in weird places and not just in front of habitats. At least if they are in front of the habitats and you have donation bins you can profit from them.
  • Is a family tree for the animals available?
  • Not currently as far as i know. I have heard that there are/were plans for one. So maybe in the full release on November 5th?

I mistyped and you read it before i managed to edit it , I have 3 franchises , mine , my wifes and a joint one , I havent looked to see if we share conservation points or not , but we started seperately by clicking Franchise then new zoo 100

There is a family tree on the animals tabs but currently i believe for the beta it is switched off

Thanks for the replies all.
Seems like an odd decision to not allow multiple franchises as i'm sure there are plenty of people in a similar position who have kids or partners that would want to play this game mode with their own ideas and conservation credit needs.

Not the end of the world though.
:)

I would suggest making a thread in the Wishlists Forum to ask for multiple franchises.
