Ships Post Update 13 anti xeno builds - variety of ships

HI,
Noob on Xeno fights and was dipping my toe into the acid with the last few CG using one of the Xeno initiatives Chiefton shield build.
BUT now 13 has dropped. I have switched my hard won Guarding Weapons for AX - 2 x 3Multi cannon and a swarm flak gun and then ... my class 1 slots. Stuck. Do i equip missiles. Guardian option included the class 1 weapons.

I have now seen builds for Corvette and Assualt ship. Without Xeno Class 1 weapons availabe apart from missiles do we need to use ships with less class 1 and more Class 2,3,4 ??

Could some of the experienced guides please share some new Post 13 AX builds. WE seem to be lacking. How else are we going to toss salad?

TY in advance...

For HIP 22640, the Anti-Xeno Initiative has posted 2 'old' AX ship builds as examples.

Multi Cannon
Missile

They have modifications that help in grouping and they host events where all are welcome as long as you signup. Check out their discord channel.

You can put an Efficent beam with thermal vent on one or two of the slots for Interceptors. They won’t do damage to the hull, but they will damage his shield and lower your heat to a level they won’t target you very well. You can also put on the advanced missile racks or advanced multicannons and can synthesize ax munition for them. they can be engineered and have no experimental wep limit, but they can be engineering materials expensive. Lastly, if you’re just hunting scouts you can put normal weapons on them. They’ll have a 77% debuff against the scouts, but a little damage is better than no damage. For that role, I’d recommend something gimbaled with low distributor draw and high DPS.

Advanced weapons are the way to go if you want to do anything more than cyclopses or scouts. Killing a basilisk is considered one of the hardest AX weapon challenges out there.

Frankly, I'm not sure what AXI was thinking with that missile build. It can't do anything but exert them, then you're stuck staring at it angrily. The best option is a Challenger, with 3x AX missiles and 3x Advanced missiles(plus a thermal vent beam). Use the AX missiles to exert, and the advanced missiles to kill the hearts, and both if you need a boost. Because these missiles take no distro and generate very low heat, you don't need any heat sinks, other than for emergencies, since you can use thermal vent to keep you cold 100% of the time.

Advanced Missiles require synthing, but at 5 missiles per basilisk heart, a single synthesis will let you kill two basilisks, which isn't bad at all.

AXI suggested teams of 4, 2 of each type for exactly the reason you stated.

Orrrr you could just take advanced weapons and do it yourself?

Seems silly to intentionally kneecap yourself like that, especially when you totally don't need to. If you ARE going for wing combat, you're probably better off just going all multicannons, anyway, since they can do it all, and the wing makes up for their DPS inferiority.

Their ship builds were meant for teams. They recommended 4 person teams, 2 each. Part of the thread discussed exactly what you said. Just an FYI.

There was a thread?

That said, most people don't have access to a team, so it seems odd to suggest they get one, rather than inform them what they CAN do on their own.

series of posts, it's discord.

Because they were organizing xeno events for Horizons and Odyssey and it came out during discussion. Haven't been to the channel for a while.

'Advanced weapons' aren't lasting long after what happened in that system. In the system itself anyway.

I rarely check discord in the summer, so that explains it. Still, not exactly published publicly.

What do you mean, aren't lasting long? Because they are not technically guardian tech, and are not damaged by the system's aura.
