I used this, but it's not seen pvp yet. Currently mothballed as it's either conda or python for me.

Use this loadout currently. This is obviously optimised for pve. 3 beams are fun, they can be fired long enough to kill small ships within few seconds, or to take down big ship shields in a single run.

Good both for PvE and PvP. Tried it in CZ with great results. Change fuel transfer to collector controller, KWS to cargo scanner - and it will be a great pirate/smuggler

I have two, my "combat" Python is more of a utilitarian sort, I use it for smuggling, BB missions, RES, CZs, CGs.. etc. It has 64t cargo space, military grade armor, 3 SCBs, an FSD, everything is top notch except the thrusters which are one notch below the very top thruster because the top notch one weighs a lot more and eats way more power than is necessary and would throw out the balance of the other modules/weapons.
Anyway, I've used all pulse on it for over a month and I love it, they do just enough damage to be scary, and leave my secondary trigger to do things like KWS or SCB, they never stop working and never cause heat damage to the ship no matter how long you stay on the trigger.
Great choice in a combat ship. I have over 225 million cr into this Python purchase+upgrades.
I only take my A-grade Vulture out now when I feel like driving a "sports car" around

Depends what you want to do.
If you are going to PvP wing brawl just fill the damn thing with as many cells as you can fit, couple of chaff launchers, couple of boosters. If you have access to Prismatics chuck em on.
As far as guns goes, 3 big fixed pulse lasers and a couple of medium g-cannons works well.
For PvE you can keep her light and just use a couple of small cells to get you out of hot water - other than that you have so much power to chuck around just put whatever you want on it.
