General / Off-Topic Post Your Desktop

I'm going to assume most people here don't have dirty wallpapers, (Was going to make a joke about TOChris Sawyer, but I haven't seen in him a while) and I'm curious as to how people spice up their PCs. I don't have my PC and won't for a few more days, but take some screenshots, post a wallpaper, etc. If you have anything that would break a rule, please refrain from posting it... I mean you don't have to refrain, it's just an easy way to avoid the oppressive mods who never let us have any fun. [squeeeeee]

I'm a life-long Star Trek fan, it's one of the biggest elements of my life. But as big a Star Trek fan as I am, I'm an even bigger Borg fan! The very first time I saw the Borg it changed my life forever... They just totally captivated me, terrified me, and really caught my attention. For me, the Borg are the best alien species ever created in any movie, television series, or any other media. They are just truly terrifying!!

Both my desktop PC and my laptop have the same desktop wallpaper setup. I have it set up as a slideshow and every 30 minutes it changes to a new pic, working its way through 175 Borg-ifying pics, and two family pics :).

My desktop is nice and clean. I prefer to save everything in my perfectly organised folder structure and put all of my software in the Start menu or on the task bar. That way, I can enjoy the full glory of my wallpapers.

Currently, I have a selection of the most beautiful screenshots of Planet Coaster which have been shared by Frontier that I use as wallpapers.

Because I like to have variation for my desktop wallpapers, I sometimes change it to show a selection of my best pictures that I have made when visiting zoos.

That sounds cool! I'm also a fan of Star Trek and the Borg are one of my favourite parts of the series and movies. Always very exciting!

Thanks!

I've hidden the recycle bin using an option under Personal preferences > themes > desktop icons (or something like that, my OS is set to Dutch). I can still reach it here:

Oooh thank you, why have I suffered all these years with the Recycle Bin not knowing there's an option to get rid of it from the desktop? Silly me.... [wacky][haha]

I sold off my desktop recently and plan to build a smaller and more energy-efficient one soon, but for now I'm using an old junker of a laptop. It's running Linux because Windows runs unbearably slow on this thing. The background is Lake Tahoe because that's where I'd like to move this winter.

My phone is a Moto X Pure Edition, and it's probably more powerful than my laptop funnily enough. I've had it for several months and it's served me well.
