Well, I've had a little bit of time to play with Horizons and I am deeply impressed. The game runs beautifully in Ultra settings on my mid tier PC in 1920x1080 and apart from having to get to grips with the SRV controls (hint:remapping into something sensible helps) I have had a great time. Planets look beautiful.
My only gripe would be that when approaching a planet the textures go bad and then a few seconds later the planet loads and then you are blown away. No stuttering, no frame drops, just a beautiful, smooth transition.
If the devs lived in Melbourne I would go there tomorrow before my corporate Xmas lunch and give them all big hugs. I know what I am going to be doing all through the long hot summer!!
