It doesn't have what I want in it, which is bigger maps, everything in sandbox mode unlocked and all constraints (scientists included) gone out of sandbox mode.

Yes it is. I paid good money to have a good time and enjoy all the new good stuff that JWE2 has to offer. Not to stress out and be held back by these stupid constraints, scientists and small maps.
And this helps achieve that goal... how exactly?
The update is lacking. What Frontier needs to do is postpone it until it has everything.
I have gripes with the update not adding QOL updates to Sandbox Mode too, but postponing the entire thing over it not addressing all of the problems (+ my personal hiccups) with the game comes off to me as a little silly.
I'd also argue that the update will address the issue of bigger maps - though I can't say for certain given how they are experienced in the campaign, the second and fifth maps strike me as huge, if only by the rest of the game's standards.

This explains nothing... you do realize this is likely the first of many updates? Or that delaying the update likely won't bring you what you want any sooner? Or that delaying it for what you want means others will have to wait for what they want?
You're being ridiculous.
This update isn't specifically made for just you. A lot of people are waiting for this update and are very happy with the additions that are coming.
What you want may or may never come to the game. Who knows what the devs are planning. But postponing such an update just because you are unhappy with it makes no sense.
So what you're saying is that they need to not release features they have ready because you want other features? How does that make sense?
I agree the maps are not that big compared to JWE1. If you want to build big enclosures you soon run out of space but since i play on PS4 i can't complain about that because i think old gens just couldn't run it.
But i rather have the update sooner, i'm so damn happy i finally can have lagoons and aviary's in my JP park! Frontier has me counting down the days yet again

To the devs and constraint lovers. Your lack of humility towards players who just want to have a good time staggers me.
The person who wants everything put on hold until his particular and peculiar demands are met speaks of humility?
Don't you see the danger inherent of what's going on? Jurassic World Evolution is one of greatest games ever and yet Frontier wields it like a kid who just found his dad's gun.
You are aware that this is not the only update for the game right? Anything that doesn't happen on the 9th can always be done at a later point in time.
Look. I want everything in sandbox mode to be unlocked without having to work my way toward it while the scientists and constraints weigh me down.
