Potential Mac Solution for Planet Coaster

Got my Beta invite for the GEFORCE Now Mac beta, and while Planet Coaster isn't supported yet, I was able to download it, and play for a little bit. While they need to work on resolution a little bit, I was able to play Planet Coaster on a detailed park with no guests with virtually little lag. This could be the solution many Mac users have been waiting for. Here are the details:

GeForce NOW connects you to a powerful GeForce GTX gaming PC in the cloud, turning your Mac into a powerful gaming rig. Install your PC games onto your cloud PC and play them at max settings with smooth frame rates.

To participate in the beta, you need a compatible Mac computer with a 25 Mbps Internet connection, and to be located in the continental United States or Canada.

So basically you run the game in the cloud and stream it to your PC? It seems bootcamp or VMs will give a far better experience if your hardware is good enough to run the game. Still, the above could be useful for those who have weak systems and a fast internet connection and don't mind bad image quality, input lag and low fps.

Pretty much, but for a tenner a month. I have been following the developement of a piece of software called LiquidSky. They basically let you rent a PC in the cloud for a small price, and that machine will let you install whatever game you want and play it on any machine. It's even mobile compatible, at the moment they're developing for Android, but can you imagine playing PC on a small handheld device!

Yeah, Nvidia's plan is less friendly in the wallet department. It will cost 25 bucks for twenty hours on a GTX 1060 (should be enough for PlanCo though) and if you hav need for a 1080ti, you'll only get ten hour for the same price. That's basically a good week if not less, especially considering how PlanCo has that magical ability to burn away hours without you even noticing.

If you look on the forums they are reevaluating that pricing model. It might be more a netflix model $20 a month for use of it.

The FPS was fine from what I was playing, and they are working to match the resolution of the computer you can access it from. The only downside will be the input lag.

I think the minimum you can get with LiquidSky is a 1080 and up. You can have a PAYG subscription for something like 40 hours, and then you have the ability to watch ads and gain further 'credits'. I read somewhere that watching 18 minutes of ads will get you an extra 3 hours of gameplay. I mean nobody likes watching ads, but free content is always a plus, especially when it comes to having a gaming PC in the cloud.
