Power I wish to pledge to is too far away...

The territory of the power I wish to pledge to is almost literally on the other side of the galaxy from where I am currently. I tried plotting a route to this area and if I remember correctly it clocked in at something like +88 jumps. Is there a way to fast travel to this area of the map before or after I pledge so I don't end up being in the wrong territory and get mugged for being part of an enemy faction?

Instead of searching for most economic route, set your route planner to fastest, make sure to check where you can refuel if your fuel gets below 20%.

Also - get a better FSD and attach a fuel scoop to prevent you from having to refusal at stations. I travelled 230 LY last night in a matter of minutes simply by plotting fastest route, attaching a powerful FSD and adding a fuel scoop. Could have got there even faster if I'd replaced my cargo rack with extended fuel tanks.

Wow thanks for the uber fast responses guys. So I guess this means there is no easy way to get where I want to... Time to get space truckin' then. ;)

Extra fuel tanks & a fuel scoop will get you there in no time (fastest route in navigation tab on galaxy map). You can sell the modules when you reach your destination.

Yes, 88 jumps sounds a bit far by any standards...Totally relate to new moves 1-200 ly when you have a FDL, a dropship, and a new courier :D Ended up trading them all in for a python, but missing the FDL...boo hoo
