So I made the mistake of pledging to Aisling and didn't realize it until fairly recently. I joined because I liked rescuing life pods, kind of a role playing thing.
First they take that away. Presumably because some commanders were blowing up tourist ships and handing in the pods, creating havoc with the system states and the BGS. Fair enough, just another exploit, can't figure them all out.
Apparently, probably because the games crime and punishment is so weak, they had to kill pods as an activity.
The replacement was to do power up missions... Really? WOW, these are so common... You went from an activity that was common, easy to find in nearly every system, to one that's not that common.
With pods, you can target a system, earn merits and increase the control points. While I haven't tried to restore missions for merits, you won't be able to target a system to increase control points. Unless you start raiding the system to cause power up missions... Seems like we're right back where we are started...
Rediculous.
