Why today?

Always makes more sense to release info like this towards the end of the week since then it might stay on the front page of news sites over the weekend.

I can imagine that as last time a (large) website will have the exlusive on powerplay. Not sure but last time it was on a Tuesday or Wednesday.

It's gotta be in the dev update i reckon, so at the earliest tomorrow but usually we get the dev update on Thursday, not so often on Wednesday.
Of course FD can always make it on Monday 8AM or late on Friday there's no rule.

Well at least speculating when it will drop is slightly less uninteresting than people who have not bothered to do any research speculating what will be in it.
