Powerplay Power Play Data for Reinforcement in Trailblazer Update 3

Power Play Data for reinforcement was already terrible compared to other uses before this update. It takes about 1080 data to get 120k control score while acquiring before this update. Which should drop down to around 1030 with the 5% increase.

Now with the expected drop by 35% reinforcement data should drop down to around 234. And with that it will take about 2051 data to get 120k control score while reinforcing. Not mention only 3 of the 5 data can be used to reinforce. So expect to be grabbing about 2051 data in the time you could grab around 5000 data in other uses. Which by the way would be about 5 systems acquired. I say 5000 due to spawn chance being skewed towards the ones you can't reinforce with from personal experience.

Data is already almost unusable for reinforcement due to 3/5 types of power data. But this is just the nail in the coffin.

We'll have rares back... data have always been terrible for reinforcements, work much better for undermining.

I'd prefer to have a complete rework of ground powerplay activities, with ground PCZs and specific powerplay POIs/settlements to be used EXCLUSIVELY for powerplay.

Ground PowerCZs would be great but locking up a settlement in a war without tying it to BgS wars is probably the hang up. They could just drop them in some random spot on the planet in open terrain (?) more options for ground play is need for sure. Powerplay Ground POIs wouldn’t be so difficult I think. Just place some power combatants around a crashed ship and go to town. Regarding the OP’s post The 35% hit is going to hurt everyone’s ability to defend. As you know Rebel, initially I was very pessimistic about this change but believe now this is an effort by Devs to “shake things up” and all powers will have to think harder about the systems they want to keep. Those that have over expanded will have to hit the breaks and will likely lose territory. I think we will see more contested systems and more player engagement and interaction around critical systems and rares being back is HUGE. I’ve always thought rares in powerplay 2.0 was a brilliant idea.
