Merits
The only reason why players earn merits is to unlock ranks that will unlock rewards. Why not have merits act as a currency? Players could earn merits and use them to buy power play modules, ships, paint skins and decals.
I think that players should also get merits for destroying power play ships no matter what system they are in. If I protect my powers home system I should get a few meits
Players should also get merits for desorying other commanders allied with a hostile faction. Power play is about consenual pvp
Interdictions
Can you please tone down the NPC interdictions and make them more meaningful? I get interdicted by 7 factions every time I am in spuer cruise. Often times it's when I am trying to help my wing mate in a fight.
Lower the number of power play ships flying around in every system. The ones that are still flying around should be med/big ships with large jump ranges.
I don't want interdictions to be an annoyance. I want them to be a fun challange with a reward at the end.
Bonus
Remove the bonus you get from ranks and give them to systems. Powers can than fight over systems to get that bonus. I think this will create some fun gameplay that a lot of player groups will get envoled in.
