Power Play Pledge Rewards??

Did everyone else get their right pledge rewards?
With my powerplay cmdr account I got to pledge rating 4 for Felicia Winter expecting to receive 5,000,000 reward, yet only received 50,000?

I got paid for rank 2 last week which was 50,000 credits? it was only this week that I ranked up from rank 2 to 4?
Exactly. You ranked up DURING this week. To receive the rewards for that rank, you must maintain it from start to finish the whole week.

What this also means (I believe, not 100%) is that the special modules will be released on the 5th week, since no one started PP already at rank 3. This is of course assuming they get released at all :T

That is crap, so I grinded like mad all week in my 40 ton cargo space cobra for 50,000 credits? don't seem worth it to me especially only being harmless in this account and being destroyed twice by a wing off FDLs and Imperial Clippers.
This account wont be seeing any more use now.

Grind all this week in your Cobra and you will get your 5 million. I dont get paid in real life until I have done the work. If I get promoted then again, I have to work before I get the benfits. Working as intended.

Well next week, should you maintain rank 4, you will still get your 5 mil. Might as well just continue since you have already done so much.

As far as I understand you are rating 4 now. This means that you will get 5M Cr at the end of the cycle even doing nothing unless you leave the power or defect. However, if you do nothing your rating might decrease for the next cycle due to merit decay.

Have an idea regarding the Powerplay reward structure as I see a lot of negative posts about it, especially time spent earning merits, which takes away from earning hard earned cash, trading, bountyhunting etc..

Suggestion would be to have a split structure, where the player gets the choice of what they earn, i.e.

100 merits or 100,000 credits, this way the players can play how they wish.

Casual players will be satisfied as they'll have the choice to earn quick cash but still participate in Powerplay.

However FD could bring in caveat to this by stipulating that if you choose credits, you can't qualify for the 50mil, as you will probably not achieve the 10,000 merits required, I reckon you could still give it a go though..

Do you think this would bring more players into powerplay??

If you think this is a good idea, pop me a note or reply to this thread, and I'll put a repeat thread on the suggestions page. if not, then no harm no foul, just an idea!

Personally, I would rather merits just be an alternative currency. The rank bounses would need to be rworked as decay will no longer exist either so the bonuses for the rank will be small but still respectable (like rank 5 gets you 5 mil a week and 20% bounty bonus etc.)

Then you can choose to purchase with your merits whatever bonus/module you want (still behind a rank wall though) The bonuses would only last a week (or have different types. Shorter time = Greater bonus/cheaper to initially buy) You can also spend your merits on voting power (still have a limit to that though) or just convert into cash.

That might entice me to get into PP. As of right now, I despise the merit decay and don't even bother with it.

I am really bummed out that I now have to pay 200k to fast track. Rewards for gaining rank would actually be nice. Actual rewards.

What was your previous rating Skellen?

I think I was rating 2, as last week I got paid 50,000 credits.
It just seems weird that I have all of the 4 rating benefits ie 25 units each half an hour yet I didn't get the pay?

To be honest I really don't like PP that's why I bought another account to try it as I didn't want to ruin my original backer account.
After last weeks wasted time its just sealed the deal for me and I'll get back to my primary account.
Just for the record, is there any rules about selling an account?

It was explained before, but I'll try again:

You will get paid at the END of the cycle according to your rank.

example:

week 1 starts - you are rank 1
week 2 starts - you are rank 2 - you get paid 1,000 CR for rank 1, which you had the previous week
week 3 starts - you are rank 4 - you get paid xxx (is it 10,000?) for rank 2, which you had the previous week
week 4 starts - you are rank 5 - you get paid 5,000,000 CR for rank 4, which you had the previous week
.
.
.

see the pattern?

yeah POWER play gets the Power off button.

It might help if you think about it as having a sit-down with your power contact at the end of the cycle and them talking to you about how you did.

Firstly, your power contact pays you your salary for the week.

Next, they discuss your performance. In your case they were very happy with your performance and promoted you to rank 4. This includes various benefits, including a higher salary.

Now the new cycle starts.
