Power Presets / Keybinds

Would be very useful and would save memorising sequences of keystrokes or making voiceattack profiles.

For example, it's going horribly wrong and you want to run away, so you divert power from weapons to engines.

Previously you were set to 1-1-4 for firepower, so you hit "up" repeatedly to get engine power. This gets you 0-4-2 and no shields which probably isn't ideal.

If you had the foresight to press "down" first to reset,then diverted power to engines, you now have 1-4-1, but the 1 pip in weapons is still wasted if you are fully defensive.

To get 2-4-0 you need to do "down up left up up" or similar, which seems convoluted.

Part of the game is hands on power management under pressure through the various menus etc. Having a few predefined settings rakes that pressure away. So why not just scrap it entirely or make it automatic. I say leave it alone. A good pilot is more than just a good shot in this game

Memorising sequences of cursor keys doesn't make you a good player. It's not Mortal Kombat. The interface needs to be more configurable in a variety ways as seen in many other posts and this would be a simple addition.

Edit:- If presets is too easy then a triangle style display with a moving cursor within it would work. I just think that it gives counter-intuitive responses at the moment i.e. "run away! oh no, my shields are down..."
