Power restore missions

Are the sort of thing that would result in this thread being censored ;)
Actually.... since I've finally noticed the engineer with the power restore missions thing needs unlocking, I decided to do some.... best place to look ... .. around the thargoid war systems

Do these actually count towards the 10 even if you accept them from the station services screen rather than an on-foot encounter?

Bill
(and just had the 'lights are already on' bug, and the 'power restored but the mission isnt done' bug too )

Hmm, I've done in excess of ten, in each of upwards ten different systems, since this whole thing started, and am yet to receive any invitation...

Sounds very much like the issue I had with Terra Velasquez. That took a ticket to Support to fix.

I'm guesing the OP is trying to unlock Jude Navarro which is the completion of ten power-ons. For him, I had no troiuble at all.

Did all the relog tricks from the book.

Looking in Codex - Commander - Stats - Search and Rescue - Settlements rebooted.
Not sure if this is the right number, but that said 9 for a very long time, while rebooting/restoring power for settlements.
Today it all the sudden says 10? - but still no invite.

I guess so... I suppose these sort of things trigger strictly on the transitory event of, in this case the counter going from nine to ten, setting the fulfilment flag, rather than said counter, and not just that flag/stage_counter, being checked when, e.g, looking at one's engineer relationships, or approaching their bases, in which case a lapse in network communication could cause the single-occurrance critical increment to never get registered by the relevant script... :7

Looks like I've fulfilled the requirement seventeen times over, without unlocking the fellow, so maybe bothering support is in order. Thanks for the tip!

(EDIT: Maybe I'll look up where he is first, and go and see whether he's visible to me, and receptive anyway, before going that far... Come on now, Jude; Don't make it bad... :7)

hmmmmm think a call to support is needed

According to the codex I've restored 34 settlements yet no access to the engineer....

Gonna finally get into some Goid restore missions soon.
I haven't unlocked Jude Navarro yet either, I'll have to share if it works or not.

I am assuming these 10 settlement reboots only count towards it if they are done via signing up for a restore mission each time.
If so, then restoring power to settlement you come across, or relogging and restoring a settlement while not doing so for a mission may not count.
Is my presumption.
Gonna go to a few and find out.

What are the conditions that spawn these missions anyway? Like system state etc.
A system in infrastructure failure is one.

I just got an invitation after doing my 10th reactivate mission. No relog was needed, the message popped up as soon as I turned in the last one. None of the reactivate missions I did called for restore (put out fires). Maybe that's the issue, or maybe a support ticket is in order.

System states used to be: blight, bust, famine, infrastructure failure, terrorist attack, natural disaster, civil unrest, outbreak, lockdown iirc.

However, it seems things have changed so I'm not sure this is definitive anymore. Places to start looking, anyway.

Oh, and the the system can't be anarchy.

Edit: try this linky:
