Powerplay 1.3 Beta 6, the new faster docking computer part 2 (fixed)

Following on from my last thread on this subject, https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=148934
Now with the new fixes in beta 6 from SJA (Sarah) more tests on the DC continue, my first test was again from behind a station, and i tried to get right in the middle of the framework, but also giving the DC a fair chance of getting clear.
Remember that in a normal approach you would not make it so difficult for the DC to dock.
(but i do for testing)
But the DC passed this first station test with flying colours, i switched on my head-tracker to look around, and it looks like the DC firstly boosted well clear, then took an approach vector to a position in front of the station before heading in to dock.

Excellent work Sarah (FIXED)

Now to find some more interesting stations, see if i can break it anywhere.

So here we try an outpost with the Python, again no problems, i just love the nosedive, even in a Python.

Here docking at another Orbis configuration in the Python, from behind the much larger rings, DC worked great, did seem to pause before heading for the letterbox, but maybe another ship coming out, i couldn't see below me. Darn.. Just can't break it yet.

Now if you lower your landing gear first, then you will approach in more leisurely fashion, like this.

Definitely an improvement, and very quick too if you consider where you started out at. I've been using my keyboard and mouse more lately over my HOTAS (just to free up desk space) and this is making me consider actually USING a docking computer just for the ease of it.

In the previous thread i used the Diamondback, and it was much faster, here i am in the Python, so not as quick, but still a much better faster DC.

Next version will also be able to navigate from within the spokes! :D Just testing it now... with a T9. Want to make this as good as possible.

I really like the current coking computer, but it is lacking one feature I would appreciate: Undocking.

The DC really helps to bring the big boys in, but it would be as useful to get them out the same safe way. I am not asking for a full auto pilot, just a function to bring me in front of the station.

Now if only we had a keyboard shortcut for this. The macro is rather cumbersome.....

aww....

There was something slightly 'Douglas Adams' about the current version of the DC which I liked.
Still. I suppose there has to be progress ;)

looks like lots of requests for a keybinding and working with external camera, maybe a future challenge Sarah, is it possible in the future. Great work so far though, on all the AI improvements.
