Powerplay 2.0 issues

I was in a hostile system and was attacked when collecting escape pods from a PPSS.

The other ships belonged to Yuri, I am pledged to Archer. They attacked me, when I shot back, I received a bounty against me…

what? They are different powerplay faction, they are enemies… why did I get a bounty?!

This PP2.0 has the exact same issues PP1.0 had…

Your target didn't have wanted status.
Fortunately, as they're your powerplay enemy you only get a faction bounty and no notoriety. Nobody outside of that faction's domain will care about it.
Just pay it off at an interstellar factor.

Can’t when I am required to go elsewhere for the weekly assignments.

Another issue, I need to get 12 power goods from a specific system. That system does not offer power goods. This PP2.0 system was not well thought out.

havnt got a clue about these goods in pp2 what are power goods, omputer parts etc, never seen any of them, playing blind here, not seen any difference in trading items.or have they been added in somewhere, maybe i need a idiots hand book, any one vwritten one i can buy lol

it seems if you cannot plot alternative routes to avoid hostile systems in order to complete weekly assignments goals and if the task is set in a hostile system you have to adopt a fight(and pay the fines) or flight response stratagem in order to complete them and select the best ship suitable in your arsenal to perform said strategy which may involve swiping pods one at a time and leggin it in order to avoid a fight which may turn out to be unavoidable🤷‍♂️
so not really a powerplay issue as such and more of a problem solving one🤨

First off, I have been playing for over 3000 hours and participated in PP1.0. I have traveled through hundreds, if not thousands of hostile systems in that time. Assignment was in an undermining system; therefore it had to be in a hostile system.

Second, the issue was existent upwards of 6 years ago (from post I have found).

It begs the question, If a player attacks an NPC that is clean, the player receive a bounty and the NPC returns fire.

Why is it when a hostile NPC attacks the player unprovoked, and the player returns fire; the player still receives a bounty (and notoriety if they kill the NPC)? Shouldn’t the NPC receive a bounty?

This was not an isolated incident either. Seems to me it is indeed broken against the player.

Found another issue with the PP2.0 system.

There is a weekly assignment “sell exploration data at reinforcement systems” that is definitely bugged.

“Sell exploration data at any system friendly to your power via the universal cartographic service”

I sold over 2 million credits worth but the assignment only advanced 441,238/453,997. what?

This happened to me. So much stupid.

This is a thing in legacy as well . I was attacked by a enemy NPC in our system and I got a bounty from the enemy faction . When I made him part of the stars .

You attacked a clean NPC who had a valid reason to attack you. 3000 hours you should have known better :)

agreed npc should have the same restrictions as the player though but don't and can re interdict rearmed and fully repaired without visiting a station to top it off🤷‍♂️

o7 Commanders,

Does anyone else experiencing these kind of bugs?
As you can see in the attachment, I've collected Sirius Franchise Packages from Gertrud in order to deliver them in NLTT 16389 system.
Unfortunately, it seems that the Power Contact in NLTT 16389 doesn't accept Sirius Franchise Packages from Gertrud.
Tried to restart the game, still noting.

I'm tired trying different solutions.

Off topic for FDev: If you take decision to nerf stuff at least make an announcement and do it next week or at least remove the merits that other commanders used to reach at max. merits in one day... Or you did it in purpose.

They were red and flashing on my radar
That just means they are attacking you. It says nothing about their legal status. Cops become red and flash when they attack you, doesn't mean you don't get a bounty when you shoot back.

If you are in foreign territory and shoot any ship that is not marked as wanted, you get a bounty. If it is a power ship you kill it, you don't accumulate notoriety, but you get a larger bounty.

If you are in your power's territory and shoot a ship that is marked as "enemy", you do not get a bounty or notoriety, you even get merits for it. That's how it works.

Are they supposed to be power bounties though? I decided to try doing some undermining activities tonight and I keep picking up bounties with the local faction instead of power bounties. Killing a ship pledged to an enemy power is giving me Mould Federal Mining Inc bounties, which is a pain in the ass because they're in control of a few systems around that I would like to turn Escape Pods in at.

It just doesn't seem right. Further weirdness includes dropping into a Power Convoy signal and finding Kaine (friendly) ships shooting at Winters (enemy) ships. I also open fire on the Winters ships, gain more bounties. Once the Winters ships all pop, the Kaine ships go hostile and light me up.

I added my vote and "me too" to it.

I've been shot (almost destroyed) by my Carrier security ships... this C&P seems to me totally absurd and illogical.
