Powerplay 2.0 recommendations

Hello Fdev I've enjoyed the new improvements to the powerplay section of the game. I'm glad you're not locked into a single module to play for; it feels much more dynamic. One nitpick I'd like to see changed is these weekly assignments. I'm not a big fan of them especially do all of them just to progress and being forced to do activities I disagree with in games like crime I find it off-putting coming from characters that are supposed to be highly opposed to criminal activities suddenly say okay do this in the other powers system. While I don't want to see the assignments removed since a few are fun change it so that you only need to complete one objective so your unlocked for that week then if you wanna reward folks for doing the full assignments toss a care package a credit or a merit bonus.

#1 issue is that you can get assignments to transport rare goods and there is no information about rare goods in the codex or mission description or anywhere else. Can’t look them up with the trade tools in the galmap, can’t do nothin’. They don’t exist unless you stumble across a handful of otherwise nondescript stations in an astronomically large play space. It’s a total Google Job, and that’s terrible game design for a released game; especially when its missions which are largely there to provide introductions to the different activities in the game. Eminently quick-fixable with a few lines of text, or a in-game message, though!

Exactly, that had me frustrated as well. Even sources like Inara aren't foolproof. I miss places like eddb, but in-game information would be helpful. Or what another fellow recommended was a chance to reroll the assignments or just a list of them. Do one or two to unlock the progression, and generously do the full list for a bonus.

inara is the way i go for rare goods, still works ok.weekly assignments are a bit of fun as well ,just the mapping annoys me it doesnt make sense, just playing hunt the thimble with it.

The only assignments you need to do are the initial five to get to Rank 1.

After that you can completely ignore them if you want - do them for the bonus merits if you like, but ignore them otherwise, it won't affect your rank progress at all.
