Profitable in credits or merits?
For merits, then there's plenty of "Power Wreckage" and similar signal sources in most PP systems, which you can get plenty of S&R and salvage out of. Very nice for either fortifying or undermining. The "Amatheon" class megaships have an escape hatch which can be hacked to release escape pods. But they're rare, of course. There are I think a bunch of old plot-related POIs which have a lot of escape pods in - though I can't remember where now.
For credits it's a bit hard to see what might replace Titan pods, since none of the rest is particularly good in terms of credits/tonne.
So I’ve narrowed it down to supporting Asling or Nakato. But I’m not really sure how to do search and rescue and make it profitable (not counting the last Titan escape pods because we don’t know what’s going to happen after then). Can someone please point me to a good guide?
