Powerplay: Allow backlogged dozens of Care Packages to be converted to PP Merits for the current system you are in...

There is a known bug where when this list gets ridiculously long it causes a crash to menu -- and it's already badly designed just when it gets like this (having to go into each one individually, to see what's in it, and have the list re-order when you collect one of 'em when you can).

So, add at the top of the list a very simple solution, one button...

[CONVERT ALL TO MERITS]

That way, when you get utterly bored of finding and visiting multiple material traders just to make enough room to be able to go and click Collect individually, you can just choose a system that you are working on, and convert the outstanding list to Powerplay Merits which counts toward reinforcing the current system's state.

This UI is abysmal in it's current form IMO they did not foresee the length of it becoming unwieldy.

Fully agreed, and thanks, I didn't know the list can eventually crash the game. I better take some time to visit material traders to clean up. And if FDEV don't want to let us convert those packages to merits, than at least give us a dismiss button, which removes the dismissed package.

Selling them would be fine - no need to have them be additional control points.

Being able to use them for additional control points seems to defeat the point of rewarding the player for ranking up. Less experienced players without silly amounts of ships are going to feel more pressured to give up rewards they should be using on shipbuilding just to try and be competitive with us.

Or if selling them is too messy for whatever reason, an optional delete button would works too. What could go wrong there?

Wasn't aware of the crashing issue (still too lowly ranked to be concerned about too many care packages). But yes, at least the option to delete unclaimed packages - or, failing that, any possibility to clean up the materials storage (sell, dump, convert to commodities, whatever) would be very welcome.
