powerplay appreciation post (no kidding)

ok guys, i'm reading a lot of cynism and irony about the powerplay part of the game. but i disagree. i like it. i like it for real. anyone out there thinking is not that bad? comeon there should be another one loving that particular part of the game? anyone? comeon do some "outing", you will feel better, like I did.

I love it more if minor factions could attack power play factions. I know i would love to blast some powers away.

I love that it EXISTS and look forward to improvements that will want me to take a more active part in it from time to time.

The last part of that sentence is surprisingly relevant - from time to time. Powerplay should be able to appeal to people who want to focus on their Big Game and help their Powers into better positions or defended them from enemies without and within.

But it should also be able to appeal to people who join a faction for a time (because their own personal story lead them there) and wander back out again so they can focus on something else (again, because their own personal story lead them there).

Yeah, I like it. there are improvements to be made but it has been a lot of fun so far. This forum seems to be about complaining mainly. There are good PP communities on the Reddit gaes for each power.

Myself too.

FD are going to keep PP ... that's their call, but they do recognize that some improvements are required - that means FD are listening to us (even if it is through the wall, muffled, with ear plugs in )

I have never disliked the IDEA of powerplay, but the mindnumbingly immersion breaking STUPIDITY they have used in their implementation is killing it for me.

-All factions are the same
-All factions are homocidal religious fanatics towards other factions
-No faction actually follow their own philosophy and ethos
-No faction individuality in merit reward for tasks (like Archon Delaine giving 30 merits for stolen supplies and 1 for kills)
-The highest merit reward is mindlessly murdering all other faction members instead of making rewards matter for doing tasks PROMOTING the faction.
