Newcomer / Intro Powerplay - Archon Delaine

I'm a bit confused. I took Archon delaine because of "yaarrr", but there is no piracy involved : only destroying other power's ships.

Is it me not understanding or is it odds that the pirate king party do not involve piracy at all ?
