FD said Powerplay love is coming*, but to give people a reason to pledge should Powers bonuses scale to where they are on the Galactic Standing leaderboard? This idea is not about the bonuses themselves (for now) but a way to make powers more evenly desirable.
All powers have passive, rank and position based bonuses. Most are crap or bygones of 5 years ago. The latter (position, available at rank 2) is active if a Power is either 3rd, 2nd or 1st, with a corresponding uplift in % with each place.
Now, some powers will never see those bonuses, while others will see them all the time. I wonder if sometimes that discourages people from picking certain Powers because they'll never break into the top 3 (leading to a sort of selective bias).
So, with that in mind, should the 123 bonus be removed and instead have a % uplift based on position? I.e. if position 1 is 100% bonus, would 11th place have that bonus active at a proportionally reduced rate that increases as they go up and down the placings?
