So I've been off, in to the great yonder of non-elite games, mainly MechWarrior Online, (it's not very good... Lol), but I came back with some ideas.
Judging by the title, it's almost entirely self explanatory. I'm also entirely convinced it has nothing to do with MWO. Lol
But it inspired me, somehow, so here it is.
Call To Arms
Basically, your PowerPlay faction, and has called you in to fight for their side over a specific system.
It's entirely optional, but you do get rewarded handsomely for participating, and even more for winning, it'd work like similar to CG, but to join, you need to be pledged to the factions involved.
You earn special 'CTA Merits' for kills against your enemies in said system, the merits work differently though, and you get more merits per kill based on the targets ship and rank (maybe a minor bonus if it's a player- meaningful PvP! Or ganking?).
You also lose them on death, but, if you're killed in the target system, by your enemies, your rebuy is significantly reduced, and funded by your faction.
You hand in your merits at any station your faction owns, and they go towards the global score. At the end of the war, the system is tranfered control to the winning faction.
You'd get a pay bonus for merits handed in, and another bonus if your faction wins the system (FD can decide the figures).
There would be plenty of fail safes to prevent a faction being annihilated completely.
I don't fully understand the BGS and PowerPlay, so I'd leave that bit up to FD.
These faction wars can be more than 1v1 aswell, but obviously, only one can win.
And that's about it.
Yes/no?
