Powerplay: Choosing a power

Hi everyone,

Just came back from a long exploration trip and I'd like to dip my toe in powerplay. First step is choosing a power and I must congratulate FD on making their politicians "real": I hate most of them, just like in real life :D

Now, I'm not a fighter and they don't seem to care about exploration, so I'm looking for a power that requires trucking and is not too much of a dirtbag. Here are my candidates:
- Edmund Mahon. Nicest of the bunch, has room to expand his dominion, pretty lame economic affects and perks.
- Li Yong-Rui. Donald Trump with hair. Only cares about profits. Nice room for expansion. Nice perks and economic effects.
- Aisling Duval. Paris Hilton with puppies and rainbows. Cool shields and economic effects. Might be harder to expand, but will do so at the expense of the Empire, which is kind of a good thing :p
- Felicia Winters. Hilary Clinton, does the exact same thing as the other guy, but with a smile so it makes it okay. Huge control zone, lame rewards and economic effects.

These are the ones I hate the less, and I still hate them a lot. My preference, based on the bio and ethos, goes to Mahon, but he really has nothing else to offer. Price increase on food? Really? The least profitable goods are now slightly less useless? Come on...

What are your thoughts? Who should a honest trucker pledge to if he wants to make a living and be able to sleep at night?

I'll probably avoid picking a power for a while. I could see myself supporting Edmund, but Pranav Antal looks so completely nuts it's like a magnet to me. Come on, who doesn't want to be part of a crazy cult-thing?

stay well clear of powerplay unless your happy playing an alpha with many many bugs and the possibility of having your progress taken off you on a whim.

Go where you feel most comfortable, or just don't pledge to any at all, the passive rewards are pretty great.

Oh, I should have mentionned I do want to pledge. I was an avid Ingress player and love the struggle of controlling areas against other teams, even it the process is grindy.

Pranav Antal makes me think of a demented Jacque Fresco. All this blabing about advanced technology, and his only influence is banning stuff. Meh...

I think I'll go with mahon first. He's the least annoying to me, and he looks like the easiest. Then, I might switch to Duval later if I want more confrontation with nearby powers :)
