Powerplay concern

Hi, just a thought - if you're not aligned to a major faction and just getting on with your normal trade/bh/pirate/mining/griefing game do you stand out as a target for those that are aligned?
I think I read you can freely attack opposing factions that are in your system, which well fair enough, however if you're not involved in this mini game thing just want to find out how you are observed by those that are.

The whole thing with elite is you are a needle in a haystack in a field of haystacks in a county of farms.
.
The game isn't going to notice you
,

Besides powerplay by the look of it doesn't cover all the known occupied systems - from Beta my area of operations isn't aligned with any faction so power play isn't going to bother me

no you will not stand out as a target if you are not pledged to a power, no need to worry unless you sign up for a power.

You are not a target if you are non aligned. You are free to make use all the various different trade and legality changes that various powers bring.

Awesome - thanks for the replies guys :)

oh and the needle/haystack/farm thing - not sure thats the right analogy considering the EIC seem to be everywhere where I am :)
