Powerplay Powerplay currently broken

Hey Frontier guys, remember us? We're your customers! Why have I any problems paying up for paintjobs and other things but apparently you have to fix this bug?

According to comments from Braben and Sammarco, you don't matter because there isn't enough of you.

I'll see if I can dig up some info on this.

The expansions are still broken two cycles after 2.3 hit. If you want to kill Powerplay, this could do it. The last time bugs this significant occurred, Cycle 52, the end result was an exit of players and the nexus of the 5C.

The expansion bug has been fixed. Lifted from the bug report thread, here's the resolution for affected systems (current expansions should resolve as normal at the cycle end):

We'll take all of the support and oppose values recorded over the cycles where the expansion stalled. If the support has a larger value, we will guarantee that at the end of the current cycle the expansion attempt will succeed. By our reckoning, only one system fits this criteria: Ovini for Arissa Lavigny-Duval. To be clear, no amount of opposition will prevent this expansion from succeeding - we'll probably ensure this by increasing the opposition threshold to some ridiculously large number.

For systems where the opposition has been the larger number or the support has been very low, we will add all of the support and opposition values into the current expansion attempt and let the attempt succeed or fail as appropriate at the end of cycle, though these expansion should fail for these systems at the end of the cycle because the opposition values will be breaching their success threshold. Systems falling into this bucket are: Gitsi for Arissa, Ither for Zachary Hudson, and HIP 17519 and Ngarra for Archon Delaine.

We think this is about a fair resolution as can be made, and of course we apologise for the disruption.

Please Sandro could you elaborate. Does it make any impact if we further push any of the "bugged" expansions? Will the merits of this cycle be added to the sum?

The merits will be added, but the expansions will fail at the end of the cycle because the opposition value has breached its success threshold for all of these systems (Looking at the numbers, folk *really* didn't want these expansions to succeed).
 
Can we look at the numbers too?

Edit: if the Kumo stuck 2000% into Ngarra and there was no further opposition, would the Kumo Crew be able to win it this cycle?

Edit edit: I think the answer is yes, obviously.

Well, if you really think you can add enough support success, then *technically* it is possible. The other system (HIP 17519) looks far more doable.
