if u want to make the game a full time job lol ;p
I'd be willing to pay 10 bucks a month... most of us make that much at work just standing in front of the urinal in the morning. However... they'd really need to make some serious improvements and offer much for diversive, immersive, and fun gameplay.

Love it how so many people just say no without having a reason. Perhaps it's due to the fact that most of the players are middle aged. They grew up in a time when "just say no" was all the rage
I didn't read all the pages, got this far into the thread and had to reply to this one. I bought the game once was enough, thanks. Having to pay monthly....never. That would kill the whole idea of the game Elite for me.
Reason - certain large games companies beginning with 'e' killed this for me. I paid so much to in game credit, dlc and then ,,oh, oops, your DLC is not registered because you upgraded your ....graphics card, hard drive, RAM, modem, IP, whatever....you cannot play. With that company I stopped playing. I spent 2 years contacting their customer support. Maybe I can play online again but hey all my saved games are lost and oh, part 4 was just announced. What does that make the chances of online part 3 being supported? I was 6th in my country on that game and it gutted me to go through that horrible process in order to play I game I had already bought, owned and loved.
Reason 2 - MMO. I don't want to play it yet. The option could be ok but.... I LIKE how the dev. has gone so far. The game seems reimagined, polished and dam well done in terms of graphics and mechanics.
I say, BRING BACK the Game ELITE. Build it.
Take your time. use DLC/add on for more revenue, but the subscription or the Random Generator free box....no way. not playing that.Thargoids. oh yeah. Witch Space. DO IT. and then improve on all the other fineries out there.
