Can anyone tell me if when you fast track shipments in PP you get merit for it or is it just an altruistic gesture?

You get the merit for it when you hand it in.

its just means you speed up the 30 minute window. If you pay say 250,000 you can still get the 25 of whatever you are speeding up, you just down have to wait the 29 mins.

Hmm, ok, and this is confirmed? Just that I fast tracked a shipment a while ago by mistake and never got the merit. I reported it ED support but they told me you don't get merit for fast tracking. If this is wrong I will go back to them.

Yeah you can fast track as much as you like for merits, but in reality it's just a CR sink, or CR multiplier depending on the recurring time you spend, and really has no overall effect on PP, as can be seen with the recent changes made by FD.
