If you select a destination in the system map then you have selected a new nav target.

Michael

That makes perfect sense if you're selecting a body in another system. If I'm inside the system using the system map for that system, why shouldn't it function in the same way as picking bodies using the navigation panel in-ship or pointing the ship at the target and selecting it? That would be the logical behaviour, and that's why people keep raising this as a bug - it feels exactly like one. It sounds much more like it's being driven by a technical limitation caused by the Galaxy Map and System Map sharing the same nav point setting.

I believe this is fixed in the next minor update.

Michael, any chance of doing something about when on a mission and an NPC says follow me and I have information for you.
Targetting their wake is easy, actually getting to the position of being able to drop into it is a bit of a bind.
The direction indicator doesnt point to it and properly lining up and getting distance and speed right is very very fiddley.

Even the slightest amount of misjudging distance or speed and you overshoot. It is as if there is no auto-throttle-down effect in place for these frame shift wakes. I've stopped bothering even checking them out now.

I've had 3, managed to drop into 1 after a lot of messing about and manoeuvring, I wont be bothering again either until its sorted

Did anyone notice the likenes of

Judy Dench- zemina thorval

Emma Thompson-lavigny duval

Jenna Coleman - Aisling duval

Michael Brooks - Archon Delaine

Aisling Duval = Jenna Coleman?! Don't see that myself. Trying looking up Emilia Clarke - Daenarys Targaryen from Game of Thrones, and realise how wrong you have been. :D

Hudson - terminator and Col from the unit

You mean this?

Hi FD,

I think one of my favorite things and a surprise about 1.3 for me is the updated Newsfeeds. Good job!

I hope we gradually see movement to newsfeeds as in the DDF with more minor news for the system we are in as well as player specific items for each profession ,friends, and individual actions in systems.

I hope at some point we can start seeing GalNet news on the monitors around the stations like in outfitting, although the format/ensuring the text is readable could be an issue.
