Hi Aisling-lings, here is the objectives post for this cycle, made by GNThrone.

Objectives google doc: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1CK-y1NhdObfrHNVmdGut3DWFlV2Rw69MqjJ6hhoLPcg/edit#[1]
The following objectives are suggested but recommended actions. Pilots are not obligated to follow it but accomplishment of the objectives will be beneficial for the power overall.
Update 26 Nov, 7:30 UTC

Preparation: Primary

Expansion: Do not expand

Fortification: Hold fortifications

Undermining: Not recommended

We have ample CC to spend on systems this turn, so we can secure two decent systems. All hands are recommended to contribute to preparation.
For this turn, there will be no fortifications to avoid taking last week's bad prep system. We will let people who do not read this do the fortifying themselves and an update will be tendered based on their progress in the middle of turn 26. The update will include a short list of systems to fortify to minimize deficit. For now, focus on preparations.

Preparation

Prepare the following systems in order of priority:
(231 CC)

  • HIP 77470 (106 CC)
  • Camundju (platform only, 98 CC)
  • Total: 204 / 231 CC
Do not prepare anything that is farther than 110 ly unless you can guarantee that you or your group can fortify that system every week. Optimal distance is approximately 91 ly (fortification cost = undermining cost)

Do not merit grind randomly. Ask around on how to make merits if you're not sure.

Expansion:

  • Do not contribute to expansion.

Fortifications:

Hold all fortifications for turn 26

Feel free to discuss strategy in this thread. I will try and answer any questions, but please bear in mind that I don't write these posts, I just coss-post 'em :)

That dark grey text on a black background is somewhat hard to read.

I see there's some sabotage going on already this turn. 3 of the 4 systems nominated thus far are all negative gain systems.

Sorry - I use the white theme because I really don't like the default theme in these forums, so it looked ok to me. I'll bear it in mind next time.

Prep could be sabotage or grinders, hard to say which. I don't think it'll be a serious problem though.

Just select 'automatic' from the text color options, and it'll adjust to the background of the reader, if I recall. :D

Could be right. I only just started following the posts here, so I wasn't sure if it was out of the norm or not. I don't do reddit, so this is the best place to get the updates.

Ok I did that, hopefully it worked :)

Yeah we deal with this most cycles. We are planning for controlled turmoil this turn, so if that goes according to plan we won't get the expansion. We are also looking at scrapping it just in case.

It did! My eyes aren't as young as they used to be, sadly. LOL

Hmm.. Sounds like an interesting cycle this time around. I'll keep an eye here and on the doc for updates. :D

(I'm a complete newbie to Powerplay, so bear with me!)

First time contributing, so following the instructions above and preparing Camundju. I see though that another system (Selkadiae) has just about overtaken it and currently there isn't enough CC to prepare Camundju as well. Should I continue preparing it? From what I can see, Selkadiae would cost CC - is it being prepared by fifth columnists, or is there something I'm missing?

Could be sabotage, could be lazy merit farmers looking for the closest system to where they're at to grind merits. One of the drawbacks to PP is that it's really a disorganized potpourri of chaos, inefficiency and apathy, all mixed together.

I'd keep on prepping the two systems specified in the Google Doc. With any luck, others will jump in and help keep those two systems at the top of the list.

New and willing to help. Am a mercenary though, I'd be a lot more likely to work one of those systems if someone can tell me any nearby CZ / HazRES / Comp. NB. Ideally a CZ between an Empire faction and non-Empire. Anyone encountered anything interesting near either of those locations?

Hi, welcome. Check out this post: https://www.reddit.com/r/AislingDuval/comments/3ukwwi/combatant_cmdrs_38/

CMDR Nooc posts these every few days, has a list of CZs in them along with which side you should fight for.

Note that Aisling is not strong against Empire governments, so be careful not to choose the wrong side - we have to flip systems to independent, unfortunately. Any questions, just leave a comment on that thread :)

Hmm, got it. Question about expansion. It seems like HIP 77470 is a sure first, and if I'm understanding correctly, Selkadiae could just barely shunt Camundju out – it's more prepared, and there's not enough CC to prepare all three. Also, Selkadiae is of course loss-making.

Does that make the priority right now preparing Camundju to push it ahead of Selkadiae, with HIP 77470 not being necessary to push anymore?

We're planning to go into turmoil this turn anyway, so I wouldn't worry about it :)

Looking for orders. As a part noob I'd like instructions on where to go and what to do. I have a Courier for combat and a Cobra for cargo. Based at Chona and on for 2-3 hours most nights.

I've been grinding merits in Huichi too.

Week days i try to mission up in the Cubeo area. Don't really trade but I'll take on 5-6 cargo missions and maybe even some hunting missions.
Weekends i fight most of the time. Merits and stuff too.

Also i should say I'm on Xbox1 too. Honestly I'm at a point that i don't need anything new. I have my 1500 merits so I'll top them up every time I get a chance, but I'd like to help getting Ashling up to the top spot.
