Powerplay Question - Acquiring modules

Complete n00b at Powerplay here, so bear with me.

Here's a question: If I pledge to Aisling (with the intent of acquiring Prismatic shields) can I collect 750tn of media materials over the next 4 weeks, store them on my carrier, and then deliver them all in one go once the four weeks are up? Does that work?

Cheers. :)

EDIT: It seems that, in my impetuosity, I also posted this in the wrong sub forum. So n00b +1 there.

If a mod wants to move it appropriately, it would be appreciated. (y)

AFAIK you cant store PP cargo on your FC.

Any cargo is lost when you transfer ships, unless you have cargo capacity in advance.

Indeedy.

I guess I should explain that my reason for asking any of this is down to being short on gaming time in a couple of weeks (when the four weeks comes up), so I can effectively just sit in a T9 for a week or so, just topping up the cargo a couple of times a week, or when possible. True, I could just leave the whole thing until I can devote the time properly. However, I'm just trying to think of ways to use my gaming time more efficiently. :)

You can then keep it on a ship if that is the only ship used. However it makes you a target for Pirates and others.

It used to be done like this. You join the force and do your own thing for 3 weeks, then you take the right amount for 1-2 times (swapping credits for letters) and at the end of the week you buy all the shields you need.
All shields usually cost 1 billion credits.

SergMx gave you the answer OP. You pledge, do nothing for 3 weeks, and in the 4th week on Mon or Tues before the Thurs tick, you go pickup 750T of materials needed, and deliver them. Then you wait.

After the Thurs tick, go to a place that sells the Prismo's and buy as much as you think you will ever need. And yes a billion dollars is approx the amount if you want a bunch of each size to use on your ships in the future.

Good Luck

True. But I was thinking more along the lines of just leaving it in dock and logging in now and then to do a bit of topping up since it appears to be a bit of a grind buying media in blocks of ten. :)

@SergMx and Mrc_NorthEast:
Thank you for the responses. Yeah, I could just leave it until I have the time to collect all 750tn of media in one go. However, as I mentioned, given I'm going to be a bit short on game time around the third to fourth week (I've just pledged) I was thinking of starting to collect the materials bit by bit in advance, ready for delivery in one shot later.

I may just leave it now until I have time though...

I understand you, but because of the translation I think the author of the topic didn't quite understand us. We need to tell him that the letters are not collected by time, but just bought (like 2 million for 10 pieces, I may be wrong) and the main problem is to put all in 1 ship not to go twice.

As much as I appreciate the replies, I think this is now most definitely going down the misunderstanding route. ;)

Thank you to all.
