Powerplay Powerplay & Rank 5

Hello CMD,

I'm a powerplayer, we know all that the PP is not finished and muste be reorganised.
I like to play it but is not really balanced for me.

So, I just want to talk about the Rank 5 and its bonus.
Some Power can't use their rank5 bonus in PowerPlay like F.Winters :

We have 100% bonus in increase influence ( that's really really cool )
It's perfect to make civil war, putsch... but you only have 1 Cycle to do that...
Because we don't have Ppts when you work for changing the governement of your controled systeme.

I can't have/keep the rank5 + making putsch because we don't have enough time
5000 Ppts to keep the rank5 is a lot of work.

So if we want to have this rank for the influence bonus
we can't use this bonus if we want stay in this rank 5 >.< you see ?

Is it possible to switch what you are doing on a weekly basis? Like use the influence, drop to 4 and work up to 5 again...?

While I'm not Winters, I'll answer this. Yes, it's possible, but it means that in order to make use of Winters' rank five bonus, they have to constantly switch between rank five and rank four. Which is downright idiotic, when pretty much everyone else (except Sirius and Aisling) can make good use of their bonuses AND get a nice average of 50 million credits each week. Your suggestion would leave Winters and Aisling (identical bonus) supporters with an average income of 27.5 million credits.

The powerplay bonuses aren't well thought out.

You loose you bonus with the rank 4 /
Ex :

C1 you made 10000 pts > C2 you are R5 with 5000pts
C2 you start your Putsch (with bonus) and make 1k pts > C3 you loose your bonus and you have 3500pts...
C3 what you do ? You leave your putsch ? You can't if you started an civil war or other. So you continue (without bonus) and make again 1k pts. > C4 you have 2250pts
C4 again what you do ?
- For the R5 you must "rush" 7 750pts but you can't continue your Putsch...
- Or you continue your putsch still whitout your bonus... >.<

So for me I can't use the R5

Yes, but you would lose the bonus for a week.

What is perfectly possible though without losing the bonus ever, is using your 40 out of the 50 million salary to fast track the merits needed to get you Rank 5, then enjoy the rest of the week doing whatever you want.
