PP 2.0 care packages without Odyssey

Does anyone know what happens to the care package contents when you don't have Odyssey? The care packages still claim to contain Odyssey materials, which can be accepted but then not accessed.
Are they just discarded or are they stored? And if stored, will I end up in a situation where I'm full on those resources and left with a bunch of care packages I can't accept (which is only a UI concern I guess).

They're likely stored. You've got a limit of 1000, so after 40 care packages (allowing for ranks without care packages and ranks where the care package is bugged, probably around rank 60) you'll be full of those Odyssey materials and it'll start keeping them back in the care package: you'll still at this stage be able to take the Horizons materials out of the packages.

At some point after that you'll hit the stage where you have too many incomplete care packages and the care package interface breaks, preventing you from accessing any of them. Unless that bug gets fixed tomorrow, you should probably try to obtain Odyssey by around rank 60ish.
