Ok, so i am fairly new to PP having ignored it until now, however i decided to give it a try over the weekend to see if it was enjoyable.
Originally i pledged to Aisling Duval (i guess i got suckered in by the pretty face), but immediately lost interest as all the PP mission types were glorified space postie ones delivering pamphlets etc.. yawn.
Looking at the other powers i decided to defect to Arissa Lavigny-Duval, since my main play style is bounty hunting, and saw that she would not only offer combat missions, but bonuses to bounty hunting vouchers.
So i go do some missions to kill corrupt cops and am surprised to see i only get 1 merit point per ship destroyed? doesn't matter if its a sidewinder that takes 5 seconds to kill, or an Anaconda that takes 5-10 mins.
If i can make so many merit points delivering stuff here and there in a small amount of time, especially if i pay to fast track the amount, what is the point of doing the combat missions where it could take me a few hours to earn the same points?
Am i missing something crucial here? should not the tougher rated ships give more merits or something?
