How about FD does a special livery pack, including a skin and decals.

The skin being faction coloured and the decals being one faction decal and five rank decals.

I imagine this pack being adaptable so you buy it once and it changes if you change your allegiance but is not availabe when unaligned.

It could be priced like some kind of special livery pack, because it's adaptable.

What do you guys think about this idea? I'm not a big fan of micro transactions but since it finances the game it is something I can accept.

I came here to make that thread. Seriously FD, this would be awesome and give players a sense of belonging to a faction.

This would be cool, but I don't think it should be sold in the store. I'd rather see it unlocked after a certain time, just like the power specific weapons/modules. Why should I be able to buy an Archon Delaine paint job or decal while I've been aligned to Arissa Lavigny Duval for months now?

Decals for sure. I've wanted to be able to put an Alliance logo on my ships from the day I started playing.

Colours might be interesting as you might have disagreement on what each power or PP fraction's colours are.

For example, White seems to be the Imperial colour of choice, however blue also says Imperial to me, given it is the colour of Imperial systems on the map, Imperial stations are white with blue trim and the PP powers are blue/cyan/purple.

The Fed ships come in gun metal grey, which is appropriate I think. But Red is also associated with the reds for the same reason: red systems on the map, white with red trim stations and red and orange PP colours.

For me, green is the Alliance colour. Their stations are white with green trim and systems on the map are green. I tend to put the Olive tactical pack colour on my ships as it is what I call 'Alliance Green'.

I'm really not sure about the independent fractions. They just seem to have been dumped into 'greenish'.


If I was designing the skins I would go with:

Imperial: 80% white with blue trim (possibly the blue/purple variation from PP).

Federal: 80% grey with muted red trim (again possibly orange for Winters).

Alliance: 'Alliance Racing Green' this might just be the Alliance logo however as that is what the law says happens when the various Alliance system forces act as a single force.

Delaine: Access to all the cool pirate skins you see on NPCs.

Sirius & Antal: really not sure.


Lastly, if you watch the PP trailer there are Patreus ships with Patreus decals on them, so I suspect they have been made already just not released as yet.
