PP2 "Care Package" collection / condensed box

PP2.0 Care Packages - love the idea, it's great. However, I have a screens-long list of Care Packages I can't collect due to full mats etc. I'm sure most people have the same. I love that the devs allowed partial collection too, that's really nice :)

My suggestion is to simply combine all 'opened but not fully collected' care packages into one single list item that otherwise works exactly as it does now.

That way your list will contain only 'unopened' Care Packages, and one single 'opened but not fully collected' Care Package containing everything you've not collected in one list.

Why not skip the middle-step and just have all care packages dumped into a central repository that can be drawn from to top-up bins if they're available?
 
I don’t mind having lots of ship materials held in packages. I’ll get them when I need them.

My issue with it is filling my Odyssey assets with various bits.

That’s a single pool.

It would be ideal if you could select the item you want to take out of the care packages.
 
I know there’s issues with FC bar tenders, do station bar tenders not work either?
Last time I went to empty my care packages of foot mats, because care packages can only be claimed in the ship and foot mats can only be sold at the bartender on foot, I had to make four round trips from my ship to the bar to get rid of them.

God only knows how many trips it would take to clear them now.
 
By the time you've got to rank 100, it becomes unmanageable. At rank 200, you don't even want to look. When you need just one material, it takes forever to find it. even a simple step, like labelling them would help. The worst thing is that the list changes each time you select one, so you've no idea which ones you've already checked. You move the slider to the top and check the first one, but after checking, the slider jumps to some random position, so the list looks the same, but they're completely different

After a week of PP (100 ranks), it's completely unmanageable. Imagine what it's going to be like after a year! Something must be done to fix it. We can't even dump what we don't want to get that box out of the list. Better still, give us infinite materials storage, after all, we did earn the stuff.

Infinite storage would be even more unmanageable.

They should go for the simplest solutions either
  1. They expire after so many hours/days/weeks/months.
  2. You have a maximum number in the queue and each time you get a new package the oldest one is removed.
 
Why not have one pool of ‘Care Package Donations’ and let you pick from it like transferring FC or ship storage?

No waste and no avoidable clutter.
 
Ok so this is a bit of a tangent but also definitely related: how about in each and every instance of a material being offered to the player, whether already earned or potentially rewarded, it is immediately and unexceptionally followed by a parenthetical notation of how many is currently in your inventory over max capacity.

Raw material example:
5 Selenium (49/150)
-Very straightforward, you currently have 49 Selenium and Selenium has its own bin which tops out at 150

Goods example:
15 Ionised Gas (3/526/1000)
-Here 3 is the current Ionised Gas in storage, 526 is the total goods currently held, and 1000 is the max goods capacity

Like, how much less of "Do I have enough to make a trip out to Kuwemaki worthwhile" or "Do I still need this?" would that be????
 
Yeah, the current mechanism seems creaky for Cmdrs who already have lots of stuff. Perhaps just have a single care package, and new rewards are added to that rather than creating separate packages each time? Using the care package tops up anything it can, as now, and leaves the rest for another occasion.
 
Just being able to auto-sell all of the Odyssey ground components would be amazing. I haven't talked to an in-game bartender this much since Strike Commander. (Hey CMDR, have a muffin, they're good!)

Or an autotrade feature for the better/scarcest ones, even at loss.
