so yesterday I saw a newbie on twitch attempt ED. I saw him do missions from the BB with his E-rated sidewinder with a gimballed cannon and a turreted pulse laser.
So I stopped playing Darkest Dungeon while the power play farmville counter ticked down between collecting power play items (that's how FD envisioned us to do this, right?), hopped into my Imperial Courier and flew the short 120 LY to the LHS 3447 sector.
Spent a few hours with him winged up, watching him on twitch and giving him as much advise as I saw fit without overwhelming him.
So for the first time I was able to see the bulletin board from two perspectives at once. I noticed an assassination mission for me, ranked at novice I think, paying 60k. He also saw that mission, ranked at harmless, for 40k. The mission was downsized for him, for whatever reasons I do not understand, but I did see that even though we were of a massively different combat rating, we could accept the same missions - I was simply paid better. This repeated itself easily five times. We were almost guaranteed to find a mission we could do as a team, even though I'm Dangerous / Broker / Ranger while he was harmless / mostly penniless / aimless.
In the end, I left him in a C-rated eagle, knowing how to make money from missions, bounty farming and smuggling. But unlike any other MMORPG I've ever played in this situation, I also left with more than a million in credits instead of jack all or even a loss from expenses.
That's a really good change about the BB overhaul. You should mention this in the documentation.
