Powerplay Faction: Pranav Antal Pranav Antal merits missing (?)

Yesterday I returned with exploration and bio data in Polevnic. I sold it on Tanner Settlement, while being aligned with Pranav Antal. Since this is his system, I would've expected the bio-bonus and mertis, but didn't get either. I waited a day (just in case there is a delay), but today no merits, nor bio-bonuses have arrived.
I am in his territory, so why didn't I get the bonus? And shouldn't the exploration data be worth merits? Or am I misunderstanding how it works?

edit: I now get why I didn't get the bonus: I don't have a high enough ranking. Then only the question about merits remain: shouldn't I have gotten those? I sold those on the Stronghold Carrier

Polevnic - as the capital system - is impossible for the enemy to undermine.

As a result, it doesn't need fortifying, so you don't get any merits for trying.

You would have needed to sell it to any other Pranav Antal system instead.

OK, thanks guys. Thankfully it was only a short expl. trip. For current trip, I'll make sure to avoid Polevnic

I've had issues with exobiology data too, I've tried with multiple different system types, the exploration data gives me merits, but handing in exobiology data isn't awarding me any merits. Is there something I'm doing wrong? Am I meant to hand in the data somewhere other than the genetics vendor?
