Terry Pratchett fans know that the new starport carrying his legacy lies quite far out - indeed not even 200 ly away from the Coalsack Nebula.
Which would make it a perfect outpost for exploration journeys, but there is one small problem:
It is a terraforming economy, and not a very huge and wealthy one, either. The shipyard has Sidewinders, Haulers, Adders, T7s and Cobras. No Asp Explorers.
And even if you buy an Adder or a Hauler, you cannot kit it out for maximum range on site, because the hangar has very few A-grade FSDs and is not very well stocked on D-grade equipment, either.
Maximum jump range you can achieve for the ships they have in stock is less than my Vulture's 16 ly, so I went off exploring in a heavy fighter. I don't care returning to populated space in order to kit out an Asp yet, but once I return from the Coalsack Nebula, I might want to head out further.
Can anybody please point me in the right direction to the nearest system where you can max out an Asp for exploration?
