For some reason the web version of the store page does not provide detailed breakdowns of what you get with pre-built ship packages. You can inspect the loadouts if you view the packages in the in-game store, but I think that info should still be accessible if you're not in the game.

I'm trying to recall, if you purchase the Type 8 - Stellar Edition, it comes with pre-installed modules etc. Can you swap/store these modules later on if you wanted to replace the Type 8 with other modules? - I'm guessing the answer is yes but trying to recall if the only sticking point was that you can't then use the pre-installed modules on another ship?

Have I remembered that correctly?

Essentially, I just want to make sure buying the stellar edition doesn't mean I'm locking the modules down and can't fit the ship with other things later on, thanks.

Yes, you can replace the pre-installed modules, but they may not be stored, and your only option is to trash them (sell for 0 credits).

Any ship you buy for Arx is "stored" in Shipyard "inventory" and has to be deployed to be used. Once you lose the ship in any way, it ends up back in the "inventory" in the same form that you bought it as (i.e. you lose all the non-Arx modules when you lose the ship). You can then redeploy it again in the same shape that you got it when purchased for Arx.

Worth noting that anything purchased with Arx is 0 Cr rebuy (effectively making the entire ship rebuy-free, until you start changing Arx modules on it)

I can't see any way to get specific modules pre-installed back once they've been removed. I sold the docking computer that comes preinstalled and I can't see any way to specifically buy that one module back. The only way that I can see to do that to sell the entire ship and then redeploy it (obviously, before you do that, store any modules you did pay credits for and would like to keep).
